Nylon 66 + 6I is a high temperature, high-performance nylon random co-polymer that offers higher temperature resistance, lower moisture absorption and better retention of properties compared to nylon 6 and nylon 66.
Nylon 66 + 6I is commonly used in applications requiring high strength, stiffness and hydrolysis resistance. Nylon 66 + 6I also offers higher temperature resistance than nylon 6/6T.
Because the nylon molecules contain aromatic ring structures, this product belongs to aromatic nylon.
By adding glass fiber filler, the mechanical properties, dimensional stability, heat resistance, and aging resistance of the product are significantly improved.
The role of PPA plastic as a high-performance engineering plastic includes the following:
1. High-temperature resistance
PPA plastic has a high melting point and glass transition temperature, which allows it to maintain stable mechanical properties and dimensional stability under high temperatures. Therefore, it is often used in manufacturing components and parts that are exposed to high-temperature environments.
2. Chemical corrosion resistance
PPA plastic has excellent resistance to chemical corrosion and can withstand long-term exposure to acids, alkalis, salts, and other corrosive media without softening, deformation, or other adverse effects. This makes it widely used in industries such as chemicals, biology, and healthcare.
3. Excellent mechanical properties
PPA plastic exhibits high strength, stiffness, and fatigue resistance, enabling it to maintain stable mechanical properties under various mechanical conditions.
Applications of PPA plastic due to its excellent properties include:
1. Automotive components
PPA plastic's excellent high-temperature resistance and chemical corrosion resistance make it widely used in automotive electronics, fuel systems, transmission systems, brake systems, and chassis components.
2. Electronic product housings
Electronic products require excellent waterproofing, dustproofing, and shock resistance, as well as good mechanical strength. PPA plastic meets these requirements, making it widely used in electronic product housings.
3. Medical devices
PPA plastic's excellent chemical corrosion resistance and mechanical strength make it suitable for medical applications such as artificial bones and surgical instruments.
4. Engineering components
PPA plastic's excellent mechanical properties and chemical corrosion resistance also make it suitable for use in engineering components such as aircraft parts and machinery components.
