Product Description

PA 6 / Nylon 6 is a synthetic thermoplastic linear polyamide with many other names such as Nylon 6, Polycaprolactam, Polyamide 6 and etc.
It is commonly used in manufacturing industry because of its excellent properties:
- high strength and stiffness at high temperature
- good impact strength, even at low temperature
- very good flow for easy processing
- good abrasion and wear resistance
- excellent fuel and oil resistance

- excellent surface appearance and good processability

For many applications, PA 6 is modified using co-monomers or stabilizers during polymerization to introduce new chain end or functional groups, which changes the reactivity and chemical properties. This is often done to change the material dye-ability, mechanical properties or flame retardance.
PA 6 can also reinforced with glass fibers (short or long) and their stiffness can compete with metals, this is why PA 6+GF products are often considered in metal replacement projects.

PA 6 can be processed by all common melt processing techniques such as Injection Molding, Extrusion, 3D Printing, Film stretching, Spinning and etc.

Relative Viscosity is one of the most important parameter when choosing PA 6 material for different applications. Generally speaking, high viscosity material is suitable for tube drawing, blow moulding, film blowing processes; medium viscosity material is suitable for direct injection moulding and injection moulding after material modification; low viscosity material is suitable for thin wall product injection moulding.

MS340 is a bright nylon 6 raw chip with relative viscosity of 3.4.
The nylon product that produce by MS340 has excellent air barrier performance, good transparency and good glossiness. Other advantages include: high tensile strength, good air resistance, wide temperature resistance range, good oil resistance and organic solvent resistance.
It has wide range of applications in fishing line, Nylon rope / cord, Industrial yarn production because of its high tensile strength and good elasticity performance.
MS340 is also ideal for packaging and especially suitable for packaging of greasy food, meat products, vacuum-packed food and etc..
